Humanities and Basic Sciences Labs
Engineering/Applied Physics Lab
Physics is the natural science that provides quantitative and analytic skills needed for analyzing data and solving problems in the sciences and engineering and medical research. The objective of the course Engineering/Applied physics laboratory is to impart theoretical knowledge and technical skill originating from various subfields of physics. The Physics laboratory is equipped with all the apparatus required as per JNTUK curriculum. The lab consists of adequate number of sets of each experiment and well planned darkroom to carry out optics experiments. The students perform different experiments based on elasticity, ohm’s law, Wheatstone bridge principle, sound, interference, diffraction, dispersion etc. They are also encouraged and guided to carry out innovative projects.
Engineering/Applied Chemistry Lab
Engineering/Applied Chemistry Lab incorporates the experiments which involve the volumetric estimation of chemicals and determination of various properties of fuels, water samples like Viscosity, Hardness and Preparation of thermosetting plastics like Bakelite and Urea-Formaldehyde resin. This Lab has variety of instruments like distillation plant, Turbidity meter, Potentiometer, PH meter and Conductivity meter. Presently Chemistry lab accommodates the objective of better understanding of syllabus of 1st year B.Tech and absorbs the theory along with implementing it practically. The experiments have been chosen to develop skill among the learners so that they can measure, differentiate and analyse various chemical processes. This will inlay a deep understanding of the subject to help them solve the engineering problems in their area of work. Students experiment in a group of two to learn team work and help each other for the same. The titrations are conducted individually by the student.
